1. Information We Collect

To provide school management and communication services, we collect and process the following information:

  • Parent & Student Identification: Student name, parent/guardian name, admission number/student ID, registered phone number, and email address.
  • Academic & School Records: Attendance records, homework assignments, examination schedules, marks/grades, and school circulars provided by the school administration.
  • Fee & Transaction Records: Fee structure, pending dues, payment history, and digital fee receipts. (Note: We do not store credit card, debit card, or bank credentials; all transactions are processed securely through certified payment gateways).
  • Location Data: Real-time device location (approximate and precise) is accessed strictly when using the School Bus Live Tracking module to display your proximity to the school vehicle. Location data is processed ephemerally on-device and is never sold or shared with advertisers.
  • Photos & Documents: Images and PDF files uploaded by parents/students for homework submissions, profile pictures, or fee payment receipts.
  • Device & Technical Data: Device model, operating system version, and unique push notification identifiers (Firebase FCM tokens) to deliver instant school announcements.

2. Permissions Used by the App

  • Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): Used exclusively for real-time school bus tracking and distance calculation.
  • Camera & Storage: Used to capture and attach homework images, profile photos, and payment receipt screenshots.
  • Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to send timely alerts for student attendance, emergencies, homework, and circulars.
  • Biometric Authentication: Optional fingerprint or face unlock stored securely on your local device hardware for fast login.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected information solely for educational and administrative purposes:

  • To provide access to the student and parent dashboard.
  • To display real-time attendance, fee dues, notices, and academic performance.
  • To send real-time school notices and urgent notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
  • To facilitate secure fee payments and generate receipts.
  • To monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain application stability and performance.

4. Third-Party Services

Our application integrates trusted third-party SDKs that process data under strict confidentiality:

  • Google Play Services & Firebase: For push notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and app functionality.
  • Payment Gateway Partners (e.g., Razorpay/UPI): For encrypted, PCI-DSS compliant online school fee processing.
  • OpenStreetMap / Tile Providers: For map display during school bus route tracking.

5. Account Creation & Data Retention

Accounts for this application are provisioned and managed directly by the educational institution / school administration. Individual users cannot register unauthorized accounts publicly. Student records and academic data are retained in accordance with school policies and applicable educational regulations.

If a parent or student wishes to review, correct, or request the deletion of their personal information, they can submit a request directly to their school administration office or contact us at our support desk.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our portal is designed for parents, legal guardians, and enrolled students under school supervision. We do not display advertisements, engage in behavioral profiling, or sell personal data of minors. All access is tied to authorized school enrollment.

Data Security: All sensitive personal and academic data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols and stored securely.
